Media Center
I’m Mathews Elementary School’s Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Beale. The children sometimes call me “The Book Lady” because we have a Media Center that is full of wonderful books.
This year, every classroom will have the opportunity to visit the Media Center once a week.
Your child will enjoy various activities like storytime, technology enrichment, and media skills instruction.
The Media Center offers many programs for your child to get involved in this year.
They are:
Birthday Books
Student Media Assistants
SC Book Award Nominees.
We hope you will encourage your child to participate in these programs.
Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers. And the wonderful thing is that once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open.
